Yummy!

As I dig though recipes for a friend I came across one of my favorite cookie recipes and thought I would share it. I have had so many people ask me for this recipe! I have my friend Alex to thank for this one. 

                                                                                   

Southern Chocolate Chunk Cookies

1 C. unsalted butter, softened

1 C. firmly pack brown sugar

½ C. of sugar

2 large eggs

1 T. vanilla extract

2 ¾ C. of all purpose flour

1 ½ t. baking powder

½ t. baking soda

½ t. salt

2 bags of toffee bits (heath)

2 bags of semisweet chocolate chunks

Beat butter at medium speed with an electric mixer until creamy; gradually add sugars, beating well. Add eggs and vanilla, betting well. Combine flour and the next 3 ingredients; add to butter mixture, beating at a low speed until blended. Stir in toffee and chocolate chunks.

Drop dough by heaping tablespoonfuls 1 ½ inch apart on to ungreased baking sheet.

 Bake at 350^O for 10 minutes or until cookies are lightly browned. Cool cookies slightly on baking sheets; remove cookies to wire cooling racks to cool completely.
